theScore has partnered-up with 7-Eleven in Canada for a unique partnership as all eyes turn to Toronto for the North America League of Legends’ Summer Finals.
NEW YORK, August 14 2013 – theScore, Inc. (TSX Venture: SCR) (“theScore”) today announced a major partnership with Jack Link’s Beef Jerky and its agency Carmichael Lynch to support baseball coverage on its popular mobile sports app “theScore.”
The deal includes sponsorship of unique, customized baseball-themed content, such as “Snackable Facts” delivered via dynamic banners and 60-second videos, providing baseball fans with interactive features while showcasing the Jack Link’s brand to users of theScore on iOS and Android devices.
“We’re always excited to develop integrated customized campaigns with clients that deliver amazing value and great brand exposure while also giving sports fans useful, relevant and unexpected content so this partnership with Jack Link’s is perfect,” said Ethan Ross, Senior Vice President, Global Sales at theScore, Inc.
“Partnering with theScore was a natural fit for Jack Link’s,” said Kevin Papacek, director of marketing for Jack Link’s. “We love to help sports fans ‘Feed Their Wild Side’ with custom content that’s only available with this platform.”
The campaign’s “Snackable Facts” go beyond the usual mainstream baseball-stats, focusing instead on irreverent and entertaining trivia, such as “Why is Oakland’s mascot an elephant?” and “Who is the most dapper manager in Pirates history?” Many will also be customized in real time so users see trivia relating to the games they’re tracking within the app. The videos are called “Who Tweeted That?” and include off-the-wall tweets from professional players, with users invited to guess who sent them.
theScore’s in-house design team created several custom executions including in–app rich media expandable and interstitial units. The campaign also includes big box and leaderboard display advertising on theScore.com and a social media element.
