theScore today confirmed it was set to become the first sports news and data app to offer fans the very latest scores, stats and breaking news on the newest wearable device from Samsung, the Galaxy Gear S smartwatch.
theScore is among the first wave of Samsung’s premier app partners to develop for the new wearable device, which was officially unveiled at a Samsung Unpacked event at the IFA tech conference in Berlin today.
Its forthcoming Galaxy Gear S support will take advantage of theScore’s incredibly powerful and rich push alert features, meaning sports fans will soon be able to get real-time scores and news for all their favorite leagues, teams and even players right on their wrists.
“theScore’s personalized, real-time push alerts are one of our most popular features, so making this even more accessible to sports fans by bringing the experience to the Galaxy Gear S makes total sense,” said John Levy, Chairman and CEO of theScore. “Fans will now be able to stay up-to-date on everything they need to know at a glance and we’re very proud to be one of Samsung’s premier launch partners for their latest exciting wearable device.”
theScore support for Galaxy Gear S will be available in the coming weeks, and theScore for Android is available now on Google Play.
