Meet the Team – Molly Hanson

What do you do at theScore?
I work on the analytics team as a Senior Data Analyst. We help out all of the different stakeholders with anything data related, including the execs and finance, marketing, product, content, and so on.

How long have you been working at theScore?
I started at theScore in October 2018, so just over a year now.

What’s the best perk of working at theScore?
Probably the culture. Most people here are sports fans so you get the energy that everyone is invested in the product that they’re working on. I haven’t experienced that in other industries where I’ve worked.

What’s your favorite part about theScore Bet?
The integrations with the media app and being able to seamlessly navigate between the two apps. It’s also great to see in the data that users are taking full advantage and using these integrations.

What qualities does a person need to work at theScore?
I’d say you have to be open to collaboration. Teamwork is really celebrated here so being able to collaborate with coworkers, be it on your team or others, is an important quality.

What’s your fondest memory of working at theScore?
The day we launched the betting app, everyone gathered in the social space and watched John and Benjie set theScore Bet listing live in the App Store. Seeing all of the hard work the devs and everyone else did come to fruition was pretty special.

What are some of your hidden talents?
Not sure if this is a talent, but I’m pretty good at making cocktails. I’ve also made macramé pieces for some of my friends. Think like those knotted/woven rope wall hangings you can buy at Urban Outfitters or on Etsy.

At what store would you like to max out your credit card?
Probably a department store to take full advantage. Maybe Saks or Bloomingdales.

What are three things still left on your bucket list?
I would love to see the pyramids, go skydiving, and do my yoga teaching training course. If I could add a fourth (and unrealistic) one, I’d love to learn how to surf. Being able to casually ride a wave would be so cool.

Who inspires you?
My grandmother. She’s always up to date with everything – culture, news, business – super fashionable, loves to travel and really cares about family.
